The music collective Sunny Flowers was founded in the Netherlands in 2023. Its members originally come from Dnipro, Ukraine, but only met in Amsterdam.
With performances at various events for both Ukrainians and Dutch audiences – including the Festival of the Peoples of the World 2024 in Amstelveen – they bring the rich Ukrainian musical tradition to life.
 
Their repertoire includes authentic folk songs, compositions from the past century, and contemporary pieces. They sing a cappella, acoustically, and with instrumental accompaniment. Their songs tell stories of folk traditions, nature, courageous warriors, and sincere love.
 
The collective continues to grow and expand, and their love for the strength and talent of the Ukrainian people remains as strong as ever!

Een van de inspirerende deelnemers is Sunny Flowers🌼 – Oekraïense muziek met hart en ziel
Het muziekcollectief “Sunny Flowers” werd in 2023 in Nederland opgericht. De leden komen oorspronkelijk uit Dnipro, Oekraïne, maar leerden elkaar pas in Amsterdam kennen.
 
Met optredens op diverse evenementen voor zowel Oekraïners als Nederlanders – waaronder het Festival der Volkeren van de Wereld 2024 in Amstelveen – brengen zij de rijke Oekraïense muziektraditie tot leven.
 
Hun repertoire bestaat uit authentieke volksliederen, werken van componisten uit de vorige eeuw en hedendaagse liederen. Ze zingen a capella, akoestisch en met instrumentale begeleiding. Hun liederen vertellen verhalen over volkstradities, de natuur, moedige krijgers en oprechte liefde.
 
Het collectief blijft groeien en uitbreiden, en hun liefde voor de kracht en het talent van het Oekraïense volk blijft onverminderd sterk!
